Swim Safe is funded and delivered by the Andrew McGeown Legacy Fund. There are public sessions on offer at this site. Sessions run from 12th - 16th August.
To register your arrival please report to the blue gazebo on the beach infront of the Lifeguard Unit at the Swim Safe flags. Access to the site is by foot along the promenade. It is a restricted area for cars.
Bridlington park and ride car park costs £4.50 and includes transport for up to 5 people on the land train which stops at the spa which is a short walk from the registration area on the beach. The car park is signposted on all major entry routes into Bridlington.
Free public toilets are available on the promenade, outside showers are available at the park and ride site.
No dogs are allowed on the beach.
Refreshments are available from Richie's cafe‚ or for more options the town centre is a ten minute walk away.
Bridlington South Beach is a popular venue for day-trippers, locals and water users alike. The Andrew McGeown Legacy Fund was set up by friends and family of Andrew (who tragically drowned in 2015), and as part of his legacy they fully fund the delivery costs of the Swim Safe programme.
