Information
Swim Safe is being delivered by RNLI Lifeguards Scotland. There are school sessions on offer at this site.
On arrival to your session please report to the Swim Safe gazebo next to the RNLI Lifegaurd Unit on the beach.
Access to the site can be gained by road and car parking is available next to the beach.
By rail - Aberdour train station is just 15 minutes walk away from the site
Male, female and disabled toilets are available. Cold water outdoor showers are also available next to the cafe area by the beach.
No engine craft allowed, dog restricted area during bathing season.
There is a cafe on site, however please be advised they only accept cash.
Silver Sands Aberdour offers the freshness and variety of the seaside as well as the peace and tranquility of the countryside. The shoreline has views to the Islands of Inchmickery and Inchcolm. The Fife coastal path passes by this beach. The beach is mechanically cleaned weekly, with daily litter picks in the summer season.
The beach is used for swimming, sailing, fishing, surfing, wind surfing and canoeing. There is zoning for water sports.
